The Problem

Local chop bars serve the majority of meals in Ghanaian cities but are invisible on existing food delivery apps that favour restaurants with formal menus and POS systems.

The Solution

A simplified delivery platform where chop bars list their daily menu via WhatsApp or a simple web form. Customers browse by area, order via the app, and pay with Mobile Money. Dispatch riders are university students earning flexible income.

The Transformation

Before Build_it

I dropped out of university because I couldn't afford fees. I was doing odd jobs and felt stuck. I thought the free Build_it module would be a waste of time.

After Build_it

Jollof Dispatch started as a class project and now has 8 chop bars and 12 riders in Legon. I'm applying to re-enter university to study computer science — this time with purpose and a portfolio to show.
